The Hunger Games

This is a futuristic book which is a bit pessimistic about how the future is going to be. The world is divided in 12 districts and ruled by Capitolium. Every year two teenagers from each district are forced to participate in the Hunger Games. They are all taken to the Arena and they have to fight for their lives, only the winner will survive. Everything is televised.
The book has lots of action and it is really intense.
Read it, you won't be able to put it down. (9Y)

I think this book is fantastic as you get caught up in the book really quickly. You become so excited that you can't help feeling empathy for the characters. This book is set in the future and it makes you think a lot.

This book tells the life of Arthur Hobhouse, who was taken to Australia like many other orphans after World War II. Some of them ended up working in farms and treated like animals, but he was lucky, got married and had children. After his death, his daughter sailed back to England to find his long lost sister. This series is excellent. I particulary enjoyed the second one titled " The Overlord Protocol". It is really exciting and the characters get to do very cool things. (8Y)

This is a very good book narrated by the two main characters: Gemma and Mike. They have the same kind of problem. Both of them will try to stop the pain they have in their hearts, but will they succeed? (8T)
Grabbing. It catches your attention from the first sentence. I really loved this book, I wish I could read it over and over again. (8Y)

The curious incident of the dog in the night-time

This book is interesting and attention-grabbing from the first moment. It is full of mysteries. I think you should read it because it engages the readers attention and is especially for people who like family stories (8T).

Tracy and Paul are a pair of teenagers who are in love. One day Paul disappears with his little sister. The police are being useless, so Tracy decides to start looking for him herself and find out the true reason for his disappearence. A book full of mystery, suspense and love.

This is a story of love between Tom and Nadie. Nadie is a young teenager from Secota, an island in America, who is captured by some Englishmen who take her to Plymouth. There she meets Tom and they fall in love. Their dreams are to get married and to live happily, but their dreams might never come true. (8Y)

This book is about James Bond when he was a teenager. I recommend it because it is full of action and adventure. If you like Alex Rider's books, you will enjoy this series as much.

If you like adventures with animals you must read this book. It's a story about how a dog that lived with a rich master became the most feared wolf in Klondike. There is lots of action because he faces a lot of problems but there is a lot of friendship too. Read this book and you'll learn about life in the North of Canada.

Groosham Grange

I recommend this book because it is very interesting and a little bit frightening. For example when the characters arrive at the school they have to sign their names with their own blood. Once you start reading you can't stop. ( 7W)

Zac Power Series

I like Zac Power because it has lot of action. If you like spy books, you are going to like it. I suggest you read it because the boy is our age and it is fun how he completes his missions. ( 7x)

Life on the refrigerator door

I recommend this book because it shows you how we live our lives constanly rushing, never making time for those we love.
This book is about the relationship between a hard-working mother and a teenage girl called Claire. They hardly ever see each other because when Claire comes home from school, her mother has gone to work at the hospital, so they leave each other notes on the fridge door. One day they discover the mother has breast cancer.
If you want to know what happens, you'll have to read it. It is fantastic, I am sure you'll enjoy it

This is a series of graphic novels that I really enjoyed.

It is about four girls who make a baby-sitters club of in each book they have a different problem to solve. They always sort it out. (7Y)

They are easy to read, you read them really fast. My favourite one is "Kristy's great idea". If you start reading them you won't be able to stop. (7x)

How to survive a summer camp

This book is about this girl called Stella who is sent to a summer camp where she doesn't want to go. She writes a diary about her problems in the camp and some fantastic things happen. Read it. It is great!

I recommend this book because I liked the story. It is a bit confusing at the beginning but then it is very good. There are lots of characters involved in the story and it is really funny.
